Scott's Run on a gorgeous day

It was spectacular out there and really great park to roam. I particularly like the stream area and anticipate multiple adventures photographing there as the seasons change. The waterfall is nice and it would be great to learn if we can approach it from the right side to photograph into it from that angle. I attached two photos, one of the falls and one of the stream. Union Station

I selected and edited slightly, mainly cropped, photos not to be used for class and a little more interesting. I was surprised how much better I did with handheld although not tack sharp. Leslie

1. 50mm, ISO 800, f1.6, 1/100. This one was very sharp so I was able to crop it down to be simpler.

2. 50mm, ISO 800, f1.6, 1/100. This one too was sharp so cropped it to a more pleasing image.

3. 50mm, ISO 800, f1.6, 1/100

4. 145mm, ISO 1250, f8, 1/15

Adding to our Anglers outing on a day that the sun came out just for us! I unintentionally left ISO on 400 as had done a shoot before we started for a class.  And some shoots for reflections of trees had sun spots.  Good learning day.

Great Falls MD

It finally was warmer and Great Falls was wonderful now that rain has heightened the water level, There was no sun but better light than recently; still my images are screaming for some color. I also added an image of one of my favorite doors in Old Town. Leslie

Frustrated on pictures with windows like this and many others as the windows were blown out.  i did not use polarizing filter... Leslie did you find polarizing filter helped on this issue.  This on is better than most.

Gray day at Huntley Meadows

Well, the weather was cooler and grayer than expected but I had a great time out today at Huntley Meadows.  It must have been fun as I came home with dirt on my pants from sitting and crawling on the boardwalk and in the weeds. I am still getting used to my new camera but I returned with more photos I like than usual and many are nice and sharp. I can touch the LCD screen to move and adjust the focus in live view which I am getting to like.

Below are the ones I liked the best. Leslie
1. ISO 200, f5.6, 1/160 with my wide angle lens at 24mm. My wide angle is a crop sensor lens so my still crop sensor on my full format camera.

2. ISO 64, f8, 1/15 w my 50 mm lens.

3. ISO 125, f7.1, 1/50 w my 50 mm lens.

4. ISO 125, f6.3, 1/50 w my 50mm lens and converted to B&W.

5. ISO 400, f7.1, 1/125 w my wide angle lens at 24mm.
