Adding to Sunset at Anglers...

Sunset at Angler's

Even though the light was unremarkable, we had a great time being outside with our cameras. I extended my post-processing this time to adjust white balance and give the images more punch than usual. Still a work in progress but I feel that with my exposure and composition improving, this is an additional area for work. The third image catches the kayaker.

adding to Georgetown Canoe Club, interesting we met a women who's husband joined in 1933 and explained how the park service took it over about 8 years ago and since that time has prevented the club from maintaining the building and in fact have locked it up.  they can only use and keep up the canoe storage bays.

Oh it was spectacular out. This lively location at the start of the tow path offered an abundance of color and shape.

Some additional perspectives on that hot, still sunset at Huntley

.

Sunset at Huntley Meadows

It was so still and hot, the water like glass but the birds and fish were very busy. The green algae in the water added interest to a marsh that looked very damaged.

Photographing w Brooke

It was wickedly hot but Brooke and I spent part of the morning in Old Town w our cameras. She was using her mom's old Canon so I was a bit limited in any adjustments needed, like shutter speed. We had a great time and will do this again. She glommed onto my proposed project - photographing people using their phones and ultimately came to the conclusion that cell phone use should be banned as people were missing the world around them. She is a fearless street photographer even over lunch at Mia's. Here are a couple of photos I took of her.
